Health Partners International supports the development of pooled funding mechanisms that improve service planning and delivery by developing an oversight of harmonised funds to finance crucial recurrent health activities, transparently and efficiently.
Our work includes advocating to key policy makers on the necessity of pooled funds. We provide technical assistance to establish rules and regulations of the pooled funds, financial management training on appropriate financial procedures and processes, tracking expenditure and monitoring key indicators to show the outputs, outcomes and impact of the pooled fund. By reporting back on progress to key policy makers we help to ensure on-going commitment.
Our work has focused on specific health areas such as immunisation and Primary Health Care and also on developing Sector Wide Approaches (SWAP).
