Review of country-level implementation procedures for the Global Fund, Botswana

Botswana is severely affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic and has been a major recipient of funds from the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and malaria.

To date, however, the country’s government has not taken full advantage of the entire allocation of funds under Round 2 of funding.

To address this, one of our management specialists at Health Partners International was commissioned by the Botswana National AIDS Coordinating Agency (NACA), with EC financial backing, to give support to a team undertaking a review of the management of the Global Fund grant.

We also provided recommendations for managing and implementing future grants.
