Who we work with

Partnerships are at the heart of HPI’s work and we collaborate with a diverse range of clients at around the world. Our clients consist of multilateral and bilateral organisation, national development agencies, foundations and government bodies. All our clients share a commitment to a world where everyone has access to a good standard of healthcare.

Development agencies: We have a long history of working with UK aid’s Department for International Development (DFID) , as well as working with other organisations such as the African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, Belgian Technical Corporation, Canadian International Development Agency, Commonwealth Secretariat, European Commission, International Finance Corporation, Irish Aid, KfW, Lux Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Finland, Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Swedish International Development Agency, Swiss Agency for Co-operation and Development, World Bank, World Health Organisation, International Finance Corporation, UNICEF, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency in Nigeria, UNAIDS and USAID.

Governments: As a specialist provider of health system strengthening, one of HPI’s core areas of expertise has been to collaborate with government bodies, particularly supporting ministries of health and other health providers to strengthen weak and fragmented health systems. HPI has worked with ministries of health in more than 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and the South Pacific. We have also worked with the Eastern Cape Department of Health and the Department of Social Development in South Africa

Non-governmental organisations: HPI works with and for a number of non-profit organisations including Comic Relief, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Save the Children, FHI360, Malaria Consortium, Malawi National Aids Commission, Marie Stopes International, MacArthur Foundation, Micronutrient Initiative, Oxfam, Botswana National AIDS Coordinating Agency, Médecins sans Frontières, Sightsavers, Transaid, PATH, Health Poverty Action, The Rockefellar Foundation, Disacare, IPPF, THET, CARE, British Council, Tearfunf, and Canadian University Services Overseas.

Research and policy institutes: HPI collaborates with research and policy organisation to ensure we are informed by the latest evidence in our field, organisation we have enjoyed working with the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex and the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University, The Royal College of Midwives, Bayero University, Kano Overseas Development Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Centre for Communication Programs, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto
